Subsequent to the release of the new edition of Tonal Harmony in July we learned of a significant number of errors in the early part of the text. We have obtained a complete proofread of the text to make sure that all errors have been located for the next printing of the text.

Now that the proofreading is complete we have posted a list of errata in the text and workbook to this website in Adobe Acrobat format. Click here to open or download a copy of this file. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to read this file. We will also identify the new printing of the text on its cover as Fourth Edition, Revised Printing so that users will be certain that they have the corrected edition.

This text became the market leader in part because of its reputation for accuracy, and we of course regret the inconvenience that these errors have caused to students and teachers using Tonal Harmony. We have addressed the problems that led to the errors in the recent edition and we are confident that a similar situation will not occur in the future.
