¿Sabías que... ? CD-ROM Sample

The nineteen lessons of this interactive multimedia program correspond to the nineteen lessons of the ¿Sabías que... ? textbook. This CD-ROM offers a wealth of cultural, historical, geographical, and literary information about the Spanish-speaking world through a variety of fun and engaging activities in an easy-to-use format.

This CD-ROM is a browser-based program. This means that you access the material in the program through an Internet browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Despite the fact that this program is browser-based, you are not required to log on to the Internet in order to access the information and complete the activities of this CD-ROM.

As individual users' Internet preferences and settings vary from computer to computer, the appearance of the program screens will also vary. We recommend that, for best viewing and access to the all of the features in the program, you set your screen settings to 800 x 600 pixels and that you select "small fonts." Here is how you can accomplish this:

1. Select the Start button on your taskbar.
2. Select Settings, then Control Panel.
3. Click on the Display icon.
4. Once in Display, click on the Settings tab.
5. Adjust the "Desktop area" section to read "800 x 600 pixels".
6. From the "Font size" section, select "Small Fonts"

1. Select the Control Panels option in your Apple Menu.
2. Choose Monitors and Sound.
3. Click on Monitor.
4. Change the setting to 800 x 600 pixels.
