by Charles J. Stewart and William B. Cash

Assignment Description

For this assignment you will create a selection interview guide based on materials provided to you by a classmate or your teacher.  The materials you will receive include a job description, cover letter, and resume.  You may also receive additional information about the company like a WWW address or brochure.  With this material, you must construct an interview guide to use when screening/interviewing the applicant.   Your interview guide must be typed and must be two to three pages in length.

The interview guide should be appropriate for a moderately structured or highly structured interview, should contain both primary and potential probing questions, and all questions should conform to state and national EEO laws.  Your questions should also avoid common pitfalls identified in Chapter 8.
