Medical Interviews


The medical interview activity acquaints you with fundamental skills associated with medical interviewing including gathering patient history and finding out about specific ailments the patient is having.  Although the medical interview is a highly specialized form of interviewing, it teaches general skills which are applicable to any interview situation including the necessity to accomplish tasks during the interview, the necessity of the interviewer to listen effectively, and the importance of follow up and probing questions.  This activity accompanies Chapter 12 of your textbook.
